CHAPTER II
We stand at the threshold of the living forest, where every breath carries ancient songs and every leaf holds the memory of reciprocal life. To enter the Amazon is to step into a world that breathes with intelligence older than our words, where the trees themselves are libraries and the rivers flow with stories untold.
And yet, this call does not belong to the Amazon alone. It is also an invitation to turn toward the ground beneath our own feet, to listen to the soil that carried our ancestors, the waters that nourished their hands and fields. We, too, are rooted in places that hold memory, myth, and medicine. Reconnecting to our own ancestral earth means awakening a relationship that still lives within us, a way of belonging that can guide us forward.
- Grateful for this journey with you, Alisa.

This Chapter’s Content
Go through the different aspects [Communitas, Study, Practice, Ritual] below at your own pace and in your own flow. To fully integrate the teachings and insights available during this journey, consider having a daily Invisible Worlds moment to ensure consistent follow-up.
COMMUNITAS
If you haven’t said Hello in the Telegram Chat and/or posted your altar and/or intention - it is never too late to do so :)
In this chapter, you are invited to share about your ritual experience. How was it for you? A completely new experience? Did it feel strange or very normal? Did you enter a conversation with the living land? Or did you moreso feel things?
Whatever else is coming your way, what you feel inspiring or resonating with our study group - please feel free to share it in our community chat. Like this we can cross-pollinate and inspire each other and create accountability for completing the different steps and, beyond that, exchange ideas, experiences, and resources related to this shared journey within our temporary study community.
STUDY & REFLECTION
Please watch the Conversation with Jaci below and take some notes.
What is new for you?
What would you like to ask Alexandra?
What would you like to know about the Huni Kuin people?
What resonates and inspires you?Watch this short film below. It was shot by a film maker that I worked with in the past. He filmed the interviews that I did with wisdom carriers from different lineages and now just published this shortfilm which was running at different film festivals. This film follows a Siekopai community as they return to their ancestral homeland, Pëkëya/Lagartococha, to reconnect with the land that has sustained them for generations. It takes place on the border of Ecuador and Peru, close to the Columbian border too in that north eastern part of Ecuador. Along this journey, the community’s elders pass down their knowledge and cosmology to the younger generation, ensuring their wisdom endures into the future.
At the same time, the community embarks on a mission to collect seeds from the region’s endemic fruit trees — plants that hold profound cultural significance and are also vital superfoods. With the support of the NGO yakum, these seeds are nurtured in community-run nurseries and will be used to reforest lands damaged by invasions, mining, and industrial palm oil expansion.
This short film is a testament to the resilience of indigenous stewardship, the urgent need to protect ancestral territories, and the timeless wisdom of nature-based ways of living with the forest. After watching, here are some questions for reflection:
How do you think it feels for the Siekopai to return to their ancestral homeland?
Why is it important for elders to share their knowledge with the younger generation?
What do the seeds represent for the community besides food?
How can planting trees help heal both the land and the people?
What challenges does the community face from industries like mining and palm oil?
What lessons can we take from the Siekopai about caring for the earth?
Please bring your notes to the upcoming zoom class!
